The Eagles Just Made Sphere History With Four New December Shows

The band's residency now stands at 68 total performances, the most of any act to headline the venue, and tickets for the new December run are already moving.

Four More Nights, One Big Milestone

The Eagles are not slowing down at Sphere. The band announced four additional performances for December 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2026, stacking on top of an already packed fall schedule that includes dates in September and November. With the new shows added, the residency now totals 68 performances since it first opened, making it the longest running concert engagement Sphere has ever hosted.

General public tickets for the December run went on sale Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific time through Ticketmaster, following an artist presale that opened two days earlier on Wednesday, July 15. Hotel and show packages through Vibee became available even earlier, on Thursday, July 9. Given how quickly earlier rounds of Eagles tickets have moved at that venue, fans hoping to catch one of the December nights should not wait around.

Topping the Venue's Own Record Book

Sphere has hosted some huge residencies since it opened in 2023, and the Eagles now sit at the top of that list. U2 launched the venue with a run of 40 shows, and Dead & Company later set a mark of 48 performances there. The Eagles' expanded 2026 schedule blows past both, and it says a lot about how well the band's immersive concert film and live orchestra format has translated to that giant screen.

The residency, formally billed as Eagles Live in Concert at Sphere, first opened its doors back in September 2024. Nearly two years later, the band keeps adding dates rather than winding down, a sign that demand for a night with Sphere's wraparound visuals paired with catalog deep cuts like Hotel California and Take It Easy has not cooled off one bit.
